Reddford House Northcliff is proud to announce the appointment of Caryn Brinkley as the new Head of the school. Caryn has been serving as the Acting Head since 8th April 2024, and her leadership has already made a significant positive impact on the school community.

Caryn Brinkley brings a wealth of experience in education, coupled with a passion for excellence and a deep commitment to the values of Reddford House Northcliff. Her vision for the school emphasises Academic Excellence, Student Well-being and Development, and Community Engagement. She aims to create an inclusive environment where every student feels welcome and respected.

Caryn’s leadership philosophy centres on empowering others through collaboration and open communication. She values transparent decision-making processes that involve teachers, students, and parents, ensuring a cohesive and supportive school community. Her focus on clear goals and continuous improvement sets a strong foundation for the school’s future growth.

Throughout her career, Caryn has learnt the importance of adaptability, empathy, and perseverance. "I believe that effective teachers must possess empathy, compassion, patience, and a love for learning," she says. Her favourite quote, "Don’t take my kindness for weakness," embodies her belief in the power of kindness combined with resilience.

Caryn attributes much of her success to the support and encouragement of her mother, who inspired her to pursue her dreams with determination. Reflecting on her journey, Caryn advises young people to never give up, highlighting her own path from aspiring chef to dedicated Geography teacher. "The best decision I have made in my life was to become a teacher. I have never regretted a day as a teacher," she shares.

Caryn’s approach to challenges is methodical and patient, encapsulated in her belief that problems should be addressed one step at a time. "How do you eat an elephant? Bite by bite. How do you solve your problems? One at a time," she explains. She cherishes the journey as much as the destination, emphasising the importance of enjoying each moment along the way.

Ravi Nadasen, CEO of Inspired Education Group Africa and the Middle East, expressed his delight at Caryn’s appointment, saying, “Caryn has demonstrated remarkable leadership and a deep commitment to our school’s values. Her positive impact on our community has been widely recognised, and we are confident that she will continue to inspire and lead Reddford House Northcliff with dedication and enthusiasm.”
