TEACHING THE IMPORTANCE OF COMMUNITY

At Reddford House, teaching our students to give back and help those less fortunate is just as important as teaching them to strive for educational excellence. A great amount of focus is placed on identifying organisations, schools or communities who need assistance in one way or another.

Reddford House Northcliff aims to raise students’ awareness of the importance of advocating for justice and kindness. Through our various community projects and drives throughout the year, the students are given the opportunity to explore ways in which they can play an active role in bringing about a positive change in their school and broader community.

SOME OF OUR ANNUAL CHARITABLE INITIATIVES INCLUDE:

Barefoot Day

Students decorate their feet and attend school barefoot. Each student donates at least one pair of shoes which are given to Sparrow Village.

CANSA-Logo

CANSA Sprayathon

The annual Spray-a-thon is in support of cancer patients and survivors. On this day, the students are encouraged to arrange their hair in the most colourful, wackiest way possible. All proceeds on this day go towards CANSA.

Reach for a Dream

Reddford House also supports the Reach for a Dream Foundation by participating in their annual Slipper Day initiative. All the students and teachers wear their slippers to school after donating R10 to the Foundation. Slipper Day helps fulfil the dreams of children who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness.
